Elegant wedding borrows some of the style choices from the contemporary,
but refrains from being too radical. The Elegant wedding is a
mixture of the Contemporary and Natural wedding video styles.
Here the emphasis is not on setting a fashionable trend, but on
the wedding looking stylish and graceful. The Groom looks well-dressed
in a designer suit, and the bride who looks Chic in her wedding
dress, that borrows most of its design from an evening gown rather
than a bridal dress.
The bridesmaids have dresses with modern colours,
and bouquets to suit a chic look. The wedding car is often a vintage
car that brings both class and elegance to the wedding. The Elegant
wedding can be hosted at many venues with a variety of soft music,
but works best when the main venue or reception venue is a Stately
Home, or Country style House or Hotel. Some stylish hotels also
achieve the same effect, but here the emphasis changes to being
more modern and chic than graceful and elegant.
Soft ballads or classical music bring grace
to the sequences and add to the feel of elegance, whilst modern
smooth, easy listening tracks add a touch of youth and vigour.
Sequences showing the natural beauty of the venue and the guests,
whilst they are there works best. This is often filmed in a reportage
fashion, with little or no staged shots. A mixture of close-up
and distance shots is used to obtain the correct feel to the wedding
video. Slow motion is often used to add touches of elegance, say
for instance on the processional.
